Simple Taylored Expressions Dinosaur Birthday Card

Hello everyone! Todays project is a simple dinosaur birthday card featuring Taylored Expressions dies and stamps. I love Taylored Expressions designs and you will be seeing more projects with their products. Not only is the quality excellent but the designs are great! When I designed this card I had bought the Sack It Dinosaur set for different purpose. Ironically, even though this is part of the Sack It collection, I love using it for a card! I think that this card would be great as a birthday card for a little boy.

To start making this card I used a 5.75″ white square notecard to die cut the base of the card using the largest die. When I ran the die through my Sizzix Big Kick Machine, I made sure that the notecard was folded over and that the top of die overhung the notecard folded edge a little. Next, I ran the same die through again with the green metals pebble paper which I found at Michaels. As soon as I saw that paper I knew I had to have it to make this card! For the horns and the eyes, I used smooth black and white cardstock scraps. On the inside of the card I stamped one of the greetings from the Dino-Mite stamp set in Versafine Black Ink. This is my go to ink for greetings! Also, I should note that this card does fit into a standard A2 envelope.

Now comes the fun part of assembling the card! This is super simple because you can follow the image on packaging to figure out where to put the pieces. I started by adhering the green pebble base to the white notecard using my Scotch ATG Gun. Next, I used my Martha Stewart Gel Adhesive to adhere the horns, eyes and nostrils. You’re finished! Now you have a great card to give to a little boy. Do you have any other ideas on who else you could give this card to?! I would love to hear them. Leave a comment below with your ideas!
