DeNami Designs: Simple Sympathy Card

This week is all about flowers and I have to admit that I struggled with this one for a while. My creative mojo wasn’t working. I pulled out all of DeNami flower stamps and started going through my pattern paper. In the end I created this simple sympathy card.
I created a top folding vertical card by cutting a piece of cardstock in half and scoring it 5.5”. The flower watercolor pattern paper is cut to 4”x5.25” and the polka dot vellum is cut to 3.75”x5”. The trick for this card was how to adhere the vellum to the pattern paper. To do this I used a ball point glue pen and placed a dot of glue behind each of the dots on the vellum. The stamp that I used is the Garden Prayers Circle. I stamped it in black ink and colored it using Spectrum Noir color pencils.

As always, below is a list of supplies I used with a link to where you can purchase them. Enjoy!

Love You More Than Coffee!

Today’s project was inspired my husband, Mike, and his love of coffee! I thought to myself what would be a great card for Mike to give to me for Valentine’s Day? That’s when I remembered the new DeNami coffee stamps and said perfect!

The card base is a piece of white cardstock cut to make a 5” square top folding card. The red polka dot pattern paper is cut to 4.75”x4.75” and the stamped panel is 4”x4”. I used a pencil and a ruler to draw a 1” grid on my stamp panel so that I would know where to stamp the square stitched border. I used grey dye ink to stamp the border inside each of the square of the grid. Next, I stamped the coffee cup in red dye ink inside of each of the squares. After looking high and low for my good eraser, I erased the gridlines that I had created. On a scrap of white cardstock, I stamped the square border in the same red dye ink and the owl in the tea cup in black dye ink. With Copic markers, I colored in the owl and the teacup. On the edge of the paper I used a grey marker to give it a more finished look. For the greeting I used an alphabet stamp set from Lawn Fawn and stamped the greeting in black dye ink on both the front of the card and the inside of the card.

Denami Designs Release Day!

Day 8

Hi Everyone! I hope that you have enjoyed Denami Designs Sneak Peek Week on my blog! Today is the day that everyone has been waiting for: Release Day! For today I made a card using the Birthday Owls stamps!

I created this card using a cutting plate from Taylored Expressions. The frame paper is pink glitter and I also used paper from Doodlebug Designs. The polka dot paper should look familiar because it is the scrap from the “Donut Worry Be Happy” card on January 11th. I ran all my cardstock through my Big Shot with the cutting plate and then stamped my images with Memento Black Ink using my MISTI. I colored in the owls with Copic markers and used Pico Embellisher on the balloon to add some more sparkle and shine.

Denami Designs Sneak Peek Day 6!

Day 6

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my blog and Day 6 of the Denami Designs Sneak Peek Week. Todays theme is Sports Owls. I have to admit that I struggled with this one a little bit! I knew I wanted to do something different and not a card.

So, I created a pillow box that you could put gift card in or some treats! To create the pillow box used the pillow box die from Lawn Fawn and paper from one of my favorite companies, Doodlebug Designs. I used the new baseball owl stamp and the small happy birthday stamp from Denami Designs. I punched out the owl using a 2″ scalloped punch.

Day 5

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to my blog and Day 5 of Denami Designs Sneak Peek Week. It’s hard to believe that it has been 5 days already! Time flies when you are having fun! The theme for todays sneak peek is “Somebunny Loves You”.

I decided that I wanted to create a scene using the new bunny stamps and the stump from the woodlands logs set. The flower pattern paper is from Doodlebug Designs and I used a die from Taylored Expressions for the scene panel. To line everything up I used my MISTI. It works great every time! Day 4 Giveaway copy

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Day 4 of  Denami Designs Sneak Peek week on my blog! For todays sneak peek the theme is “Cup of Love”! So if you guessed coffee theme you are right!

Today I used the Coffee and Donut stamp and the Donut Worry stamp to create this Friendship card. I wanted the card to cheerful so I used 2 pieces of paper from Doodlebugs 6×6 Sugar Shoppe Pad. On the donut icing I added the Pico Embellisher in Shimmer to add just a little bit of sparkle to the card. Denami Designs Sneak Peek Day 3!

Day 3

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 3 of the Denami Sneak Peek on my blog! I hope that you have enjoyed the other projects and will enjoy this project.  Todays theme is “Fancy Florals”. As soon as I saw these stamps I knew that I wanted to create a Mother’s Day card!

To create this card I stamped the flowers and leaves in white pigment ink on black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in a metallic pink ink. For the next step you want to make sure that the ink is dry before you continue. You can either let it air dry or you can use your heat gun. Just be careful to not the let warp. For the largest image, I colored in the flowers and leaves with watercolor pencils. I did not color the other smaller flowers and leaves because I wanted the largest flower to be the main focus of the card. Next, I adhered the black panel to a light pink card base and stamped “Happy Mothers Day” on the inside in black ink. To see how I created this card, please click on the video below to watch it on YouTube. Don’t forget to like my video and subscribe to my channel so that I can bring you more projects!

Denami Designs Sneak Peek Day 2!

Day 2

Hi Everyone! Elizabeth here with Day 2 of Sneak Peek of Denami Designs latest release! Todays theme is “Owl Always Love You”.

For my card I created a horizontal card. I used light pink cardstock for the base and three different white and pink pattern papers for the rest of the card. When I saw the Owl Love Birds stamp I knew right away that I wanted to use it and make a Valentine’s Day card! I stamped it in the middle of the Elegant Oval Frame stamp and fussy cut it out (despite the fact that I hate to fussy cut!). On the inside of the card I used the Happy Valentine’s Day stamp in black ink. To see how I created the card, click on the video below and watch it on YouTube. Don’t forget to like the video and subscribe to my channel.

Denami Designs Sneek Peak Day 1!

Day 1

Hello Everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything and I want to apologize. I got a part time job and between that and the Holidays things have been hectic and I haven’t been able to write any posts. One bit of exciting news for me is that I am a Guest Designer for the Denami Designs DT! I am very excited because Nami’s stamps were the first stamps that I absolutely fell in love with. This week are going to be doing sneak peaks of her latest release. Day 1 theme is “Party Owl Night Long”.

For my card, I created a top folding card with yellow cardstock, birthday pattern paper from Doodlebug (another favorite company) and a balloon shaped die from Simon Says Stamp. On the balloon I stamped the Party Owl Trio and Small Happy Birthday with Memento Black Onyx Ink. On the inside of the card I used the Day Filled W/ Happiness stamp in Black ink. To see how I created the card, click on the video below to watch it on YouTube. Don’t forget to like the video and subscribe to my channel.
